If you take national policy against the people of the Robson Valley as for shipping crude by rail, we're gonna lose the battle, expend way too much energy, and make horrendous errors along the way.
Conversely, we might have a chance to extract a toll. The buzz word is "partnerships" these days, but I prefer to call them "trusts". At least we have a cushion when the shit hits the fan. How's the Upper Fraser Trust sound?
The trick is, when the shit hits the fan, there will be a craptonne of it - how much of a cushion do we need? Will we be able to use that cushion (or the interest from it) to pro actively diversify our economy, or is it just going to sit there.
